Glycodelin Placenta Protein 14 Test

Glycodelin is a glycoprotein revealing strong immunosuppressive and contraceptive properties. The Glycodelin Placenta Protein 14 test was designed for the quantitative determination of glycodelin in:

  • female serum in order to predict a possible allogeneic rejection response and consequently infertility or miscarriage
  • male seminal plasma in order to predict insemination problems because of a too low concentration
  • Low levels of glycodelin both in men and women causally indicate potentially jeopardized pregnancies.

Test Mechanics: Using the sandwich principle, the glycodelin test uses monoclonal anti-glycodelin antibodies of high affinity to determine the glycodelin concentration contained in the sample.

Test Medium: Serum, Menstrual Discharges, Uterine Lavage Fluid, Seminal Fluid or Amniotic Fluid
